Mission Statement
We love to provide nutritious, beautiful, distinctive food at an affordable price. My mission is to make it easy for you. You get Grace, the owner, start to finish in a very personal service. Even more personal now I’ve retired to North Texas! I still love to cook but am focusing on smaller events, 10 to 30 people & teaching.
Delicious always, organic when possible
All those fancy, large NYC bashes were great fun, but now I’m in North Texas! What I love to do is create unique, personalized events specifically for you. Utilizing my distinctive background with ethnic cuisines, curated through living abroad over many years, together we can create an event that is found nowhere else. If you want exquisite, luscious food made only for you, I do that. If you want an outstanding event that your guests will remember, I do that. If you want edible place markers for each guest made of tiny carved vegetables that appear like a basket of flowers, I do that. Making food stunning is a must. If I can tickle your palate & delight your guests, I am happy. I have dishes you cannot find elsewhere, recipes developed over decades.
I am choosing to do smaller, more personal events. Seated dinners I can accommodate 10-15 guests, more for buffets. If you have staff, we can go higher. If you wish, I will come to your house & be your personal chef for a night. I love a huge range of flavors & cuisines…..but I’ll leave the BBQ’s to others, they do it so well down here! Except for my BBQ pulled pork….it’s a winner! I make all my own seasoning & salt mixes which are also available to buy: Herbal mix, Far East Blend & Cajun. When I cater, I always give out free samples.
I can also deliver to you elegant platters of:
International Cheeses, medjoul dates, berries, grapes & Flowers….fresh baguettes & crispbreads
Charcuterie platters with pate, mini carved pepper & carrot flowers
Tropical Fruit Extravaganza: 15 varieties!
Chicken Satay Platters with scallion & carrot curls
Pizza sized Apple, Cranberry & Frangipane Tarts, glazed & dusted with pistachios
Read on if you want to see our history up North, like I said, it was great fun!
For three decades, I have ensured that any event my company has catered is long remembered.
Whether your gathering is for 15 or 500, I can offer a choice of dishes ranging from affordably priced to high end. They are always beautiful & delicious. Although I prefer offering organic & locally sourced produce, in consultation with clients a wide range of needs can be satisfied.
The common standard is satisfaction. Our clients include a Rainbow Wedding Brunch, 5 day conferences for Rutgers Business School, opening parties for Broadway shows, events for Mayor Fulup at City Hall & Cory Booker in Newark, inductions for supreme court judges in Brooklyn, events at the United Nations, 500 Hurricane Sandy relief workers, week long orientation for Teach for America & weddings for Newark school teachers & African royalty at the Newark Museum.
Our food spans the globe from African Tilapia, Thai Shrimp Penang, French Chicken Francese, Lebanese Hummus & Babaghanooj, Mexican Quesadillas, Swedish Gravlax or American BBQ Meatloaf. Everything from our seasoned salts to our honey mustard Is hand made in our kitchens. We are health oriented so we use only sweet butter & fresh cream in our walnut brownies, lavender pound cake and Iced Lemon Soufflé. Our lunches include Olive Focaccia layered with fresh mozzarella, pesto & grilled vegetables or Thai chicken satay in a Habanero wrap. Our Italian antipasto feast on our huge hand carved Alaskan platter can feed 50 or 200 as a centerpiece for your hors d’oeuvre buffet. Elegant, bite sized tartlets filled with wild mushrooms or fresh crab are passed at our cocktail events.
